IPL 2026 Full Match Schedule and Fixtures
The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League runs from 28 March to 31 May 2026. Ten franchises compete across 74 league matches before the top four qualify for playoffs. BCCI announced the first 20 matches on 11 March 2026, with the complete fixtures released on 26 March. Evening matches begin at 7:30 PM IST while afternoon double-header fixtures start at 3:30 PM IST.

Group Structure
IPL 2026 uses a group format similar to the 2023 season. Ten teams are divided into two groups. Each team plays twice against teams in their own group and additional matches against the other group.

Each franchise plays 14 league matches before the top four qualify for playoffs. The playoff structure follows the familiar format. Qualifier 1 features the top two teams on 26 May. The Eliminator between third and fourth on 27 May. Qualifier 2 on 29 May. The Final on 31 May 2026.
Venues and Match Distribution
IPL 2026 is played across 13 stadiums in 13 Indian cities. Each franchise has a primary home ground where they play the majority of their home fixtures. Some teams share venues or play occasional matches at secondary grounds to expand the tournament's geographic footprint.

Match Timings and Broadcast
All IPL 2026 matches are broadcast live on Star Sports Network across India. JioHotstar streams every match online with ball-by-ball scorecard coverage. Evening matches begin at 7:30 PM IST. Afternoon fixtures on double-header days start at 3:30 PM IST. Double-header weekends occur every Saturday and Sunday from 4 April onwards.
The toss takes place 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Team sheets are announced at the toss, confirming playing XIs and Impact Player options. For cricket betting, the toss is the single most important pre-match event in IPL 2026. Teams bowling first have won all 5 matches so far this season.

Playoff venues have not been confirmed by BCCI. Previous seasons have used Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the final. The Qualifier and Eliminator venues are typically announced 2 to 3 weeks before the playoff stage begins.
